What to get me for my birthday, or for any day if you’re feeling insanely generous. ✿ ones make me happier.
Books
You can get them from Kinokuniya by ordering it (service is FOC) if they don’t have stock.
✿ Brave Story (Hardcover) by Miyuki Miyabe, translated to english (2 humongously thick copies found in Kino main store for $45)
✿ The Last Hero: A Discworld Fable (Discworld Novels) (Hardcover) by Terry Pratchett & Paul Kidby
✿ 透明な色した少女のために artbook by Fujiwara Kaoru (藤原薫)
✿ The Savage (Hardcover) by David Almond & Dave McKean ($23, PageOne Vivocity)
Others
Failing all else, accessories, clothes, cute-barely-useful stuff are fine too. Just no plushies please.
✿ I love paper. Patterned paper or plain ones for drawing, preferably 100gsm and above. (Artfriend is one place)
✿ I love cloth. Patterned cloth, preferably 50×50cm and above. (Chinatown People’s Park is one place)
✿ I love vouchers. Kinokuniya, Takashimaya, Muji, Artfriend, Popular, Toys R Us, bookstores, art & craft shops, clothes stores. You name it, I probably love it. I mean, what is there not to love about vouchers? They’re probably the ultimate gifts with minimal imposition of what you think I like :P
✿ I cannot emphasize my love for art materials. True, I may not be run through them like I do tissue packets on a sinus-y day (in fact I may not run through them, ever), but it’s always nice to know that they’re there if and when I finally do get off my lazy bum and start molesting paints and colour pencils and markers and PAPER. Have I mentioned that I love paper? Yes I think I did. READ FIRST POINT.
