Ade wanted to try Ambush, a Japanese Food stall at Takashimaya Basement today. Pictures from Skinny:

We had a salmon fillet pasta with basil cream. The cream was yummy! Ade also liked the salmon, and I was like, okay la not fantastic what?

Something. Scallop I think, with fish roe cream. We had high expectations of the fish roe cream but it fell short by being too bland. I think Pasta de Waraku’s dishes are better.

Where we were sitting in case you want to find the place.

Well lunch was satisfactory I guess :D

Dinner was at Cedele.

Caramel Banana Pancake with double-scoop ice cream, $11.80. We had Belgian Chocolate and Macademia Nutty ice cream. It was great.

The Chicken Portobello Sandwich with choice of bread (we chose the wholemeal sunflower seed one, I felt like a bird), paled in comparison. The chicken was okay, the mushroom was lovely, but the amount of substance in the sandwich was… pathetic. Not really worth the money.

We actually told the waiter to serve us the pancakes later, but they served it at the same time, so we had to finish off the pancakes first before tasting the sandwich. Haiz.

Ade got someone to take a picture of us. It felt pretty awkward and touristy. (we’d shopped at Takashimaya Departmental Store earlier in the day. It was damn fun!)

Then we shot ourselves. Coincidental same pose.

When I saw the preview I went “Ew! Ewww!” XD

A response photo. Ade looks smug. Bully!

Ade’s idea. I think it was in reference to those super cute voodoo grins we saw at Taka, where we somehow talked about smiling with both top and lower teeth showing.
Ade complained about me only showing a good face 1 in every 10 photos… I can’t help it, it’s the Funny Face Syndrome.

When I came out of the MRT station towards home, I was pleasantly surprised with the sky! I wonder if it’ll still be there tomorrow. Pictures from Fatty.

Another few lanterns hanging on a nearby lamp pole.
Can’t talk more, off to watch Jessica Simpson’s latest bombed movie. So far it isn’t that bad, I don’t understand why it did so bad. I think the cover/poster had a part to play though -_-
Shokudo at city link was not bad. Basil sauce with unagi and clam or sth.
went to shokudo after your rec! it’s unagi and prawns. eh, i didn’t like the unagi in the basil ley, very weird combination. unagi doesn’t really go well with a lot of food imo ^^;
