If you’re not in the know, there’s been so much drama on the internet recently that I’ve been loathe to blog about anything much…. Although being out and about so much (for my lazy-backside standards) did have a part to play for that hiatus.
Well then. First off was my own personal little WordPress account suspension. It lasted a few hours, but I felt betrayed, panicked, and then the resignation that came with the realisation that this could mark the end of blogging on my part as I knew it for an indefinite time.
But I won’t. Because I’m narcissistic and bored.
Second, I finally managed to complete Puey’s blog layout. It worked perfectly fine in the preview, but turned disastrous in the actual. Another mini drama ensued. I need help. Desperately.
Next, Eljay. Nothing much to do with me, being a total bore down there. But it did affect certain people I knew, and what happened seemed to strike pretty close to home (see first point).
Fourth and last, for those who’re disinclined to read the newspapers, especially a certain article on the second page of The Straits Times’ Home section, more fandom drama.
Wah lau.
A not-so-brief summary of what I did last week:
Monday was dinner at Waraku with Yuunsama. It was nice, and the tartufo was yummy, and the waitress didn’t scold us when she cleared the table which included our plate of dribbles of dark and light soy sauce which obviously was poured to satisfy our curiosity as to why there was one for sashimi and another one for sushi.

Wednesday was when I went to Zouk with Ade, Sheena, Jenna, YH & Shu. Thursday was Vesak Day (a public holiday), so we had to pay. Zouk was bloody crowded. And the guys there leave me the impression that they’re sissies.
Wednesday night was mambo night, so they were playing oldies, which was amusing. Later on was more pop-ish, and the selections were not bad. But our group got harrassed by a few freaky guys. Two of which looked like they were high on drugs. Damn freaky.
Ade, Sheena and I did get free iced water from the bartender though. Sheena had to kiss one of the waiters on the cheek for 3 glasses of iced water, and when they weren’t looking we finished the jug the bartender left unattended, and we ‘ran away’ when he realised it ^^;

Thursday had me walking the 400 metres back home at 7am after Ade, Sheena and I had prata in the wee hours of the morn and Ade fetched me to Clementi MRT. I also got to hear a shortened version of the national anthem at exctly 6am while waiting for the train. It was surreal.
It being a public holiday, I crashed.
We also realised that Tim (who had stayed over) was allergic to prawns when he came back from jogging with Ti after having lunch with his eyes swollen. He got admitted to SGH and out again the same day. It was bad. When I first saw him, the sunlight glinted off his spectacles and I could only see his left eye and thought he had been boxed.
Friday was not a bad day, considering how nervous I was that Alice, the old nurse, had resigned already. I thank the lucky stars that there weren’t that many people, or the messy companies that had to be faxed. E-claiming was not kind to my nerves, however. Fortunately there were few of them.
Alice also came by unexpectedly, to give KaiH and I Royce chocolates! Because we had given her flowers (bought by KaiH) and a card (made by me) on her last day on Wednesday.
Apparently Royce chocolates are damn expensive. I don’t know; never heard of it before.
Although the packaging was exciting (silver wrappers mean chocolates from outerspace!) and the chocolate deliciously sinful XD

I have a lot of pimples.
At night, I met Ade, Sheena and YH to go for this warehouse sale I spotted in the newspapers at home. It turned out to be a huge disappointment. But I did buy 2 pairs of shoes which cost $17.50 each! XDDD
I fondly call one of them my chicken pox/measels shoes.
We had Ben & Jerry ice cream. It was my first time. The strawberry cheesecake ice cream was yummy!

Sheena’s craving fingers.
Saturday was spent in blissful me-time, finishing off Senpai’s second Mercedes Lackey book, The Gates of Sleep. I didn’t like it that much, as compared to the first book Senpai lent, The Serpent’s Shadow.
I also painted my fingernails.
It’s been so long I forgot how troublesome it was, and how toxic the nail polish fumes were, and of course, how amateurish my painting skills are.
Last night, I had a wonderful dream that I was in the first carraige of an MRT, which turned into an exciting colourful roller coaster ride. I donated $12 after the ride. Ti donated $40, and I was gaping at him to give me the money since he didn’t have use for it.
The night before, I dreamt that I was stranded in an old school with someone I knew in a dream only, climbing long staircases filled with Japanese high school students in white, and babbling in English which I knew they did not understand and seeing some punks play guitar.
I may be falling sick, if the persistant phlegm at the top of my throat is any indication.
Hey remember The King and the Clown? That guy/girl made an advert for pomengranate juice… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYchOplyQUs
OH MANZ THAT WAS ANTI-CLIMAX LA.
… he is prettier than the girls, wth XD
